Remembrance Sunday and Armistice Day 2024
Colleagues asked to observe two-minute silence at 11am on Monday 11 November 2024
Remembrance 2024 activities are underway to mark 106 years since the end of the First World War. At 11am on Monday 11 November, Armistice Day, we ask colleagues to observe a two-minute silence in memory of those lost while serving with the armed forces.
The two-minute silence will begin and end with a tannoy announcement for colleagues and visitors at Renfrewshire House. If you are involved in an online Microsoft Teams meeting at this time, it would be good practice to set out at the start of the meeting that you intend to observe this at 11am. Frontline colleagues are also encouraged to stop working and observe the silence where it is safe to do so.
Remembrance Sunday, 10 November 2024
Remembrance Sunday services and parades are scheduled to take place in towns and villages across Renfrewshire this Sunday 10 November from 9.45am.
