It's an achievement which underscores our ongoing commitment to colleagues with caring responsibilities and is a well-deserved recognition for our People and Organisational Development team, who work tirelessly to make the council a supportive workplace.

As a Carers Positive Exemplary Employer, we have a strong support system centred on wellbeing in place for staff who are balancing work with caring responsibilities. We provide up to five days of paid carers leave per year and offer a comprehensive package of resources including an extensive range of online tools, e-learning resources, and our Carers Connected forum—a peer network dedicated to supporting working carers.

Head of People and Organisational Development, Raymond Cree said:

The Carers Positive 10 Year Anniversary Awards are about highlighting the best practices across Scotland and celebrating the progress made by Carer Positive Employers over the past decade.
