Operational units such as residential establishments will provide their full service as normal on this day.

Colleagues working in offices and those working from home are asked to take a 30-minute lunch break between 12-2pm then log off and end their working day at 2.30pm.

If you do not work in an office-based service or if you are unsure what arrangements apply to you, please check this with your line manager.

If you wish to take annual leave or flexitime on Tuesday 24 December this will be equivalent to a full day.

Clocking in and out

If you use the Imperago system, you should clock out on 'Business Absence' at 2.30pm and it will record the time as a normal working day. Alternatively, you can submit a request to adjust your departure booking to 4.45pm with your line manager's approval.

If you have flexitime available, you can use it to extend your lunch break beyond 30 minutes if:

• Your flexi balance is in credit
• Operational requirements are met
• You have obtained permission from your line manager
• You clock out and back in for lunch between the hours of 12pm-2pm

The Atrium Café at Renfrewshire House

The Atrium Café will be providing a breakfast only menu on Tuesday 24 December from 7.30am-12.30pm. Hot drinks will also be served until 12.30pm and will close at 1pm.

Festive opening hours

Many council services will close to the public at 2.30pm on Tuesday 24 December 2024 and will open again at 8.45am on Monday 6 January 2025. Essential services will continue to operate during this period.
