Renfrewshire Council

Local communities to inform future decisions

Renfrewshire residents will be invited to have their say on what services are most important to them when we launch a new survey next week.

Our resident's perception survey will ask local people to give their views on Renfrewshire as a place to live, what the Council is doing well, where improvements can be made and what services communities believe should be prioritised moving forward.

It forms part of a drive to improve our engagement with residents and local communities, so they can help to inform future decisions.

A targeted telephone survey and supplementary online survey to ensure all residents and key community partners have the chance to put forward their views, will go-live on Wednesday 30 April - Friday 6 June 2025.

Research Resource have been appointed to carry-out on our behalf and a representative sample of 5,000 residents from across Renfrewshire, will be invited to take part in the telephone survey.

A series of follow-up focus groups will then be organised to provide further context to key themes coming from the survey.

The results of the survey will be used to help inform future spending decisions for 2026-27 and provide a greater understanding of resident's needs and priorities. It will also establish a baseline of current perceptions.

If you live in Renfrewshire, please take the opportunity to have your say by completing the online survey.

Chief Executive, Alan Russell said: "It has never been more important for us to listen to the priorities of local people and ensure we continue to provide the high-quality services they need.

"The survey and our enhanced consultation and engagement will put communities at the heart of our decision making and give people the chance to help us shape our decisions for next year's budget."
