Interim Chief Officer appointed for Renfrewshire Health and Social Care Partnership
Carron O'Byrne confirmed as Interim Chief Officer
You may be aware that Christine Laverty, Chief Officer of Renfrewshire Health & Social Care Partnership (HSCP), is moving to Edinburgh to lead their HSCP as Chief Officer. Securing this role in one of the biggest and most challenging HSCP areas in Scotland is a great reflection of the fantastic people we have here in Renfrewshire.
I want to take this opportunity to formally thank Christine for her fantastic contribution during her time in Renfrewshire and I wish her all the very best in her new role.
I can now confirm that Carron O'Byrne, Head of Health and Social Care, has been appointed as Interim Chief Officer subject to formal Integrated Joint Board ratification in March. Carron has been in her current role since 2019 and her appointment follows a successful NHS career spanning almost 40 years.
I would like to congratulate Carron and look forward to working closely with her in the coming months.
Recruitment arrangements for the permanent Chief Officer role will commence shortly.
Thank you,
Alan
