Improving Our Workplace Survey results and next steps
Chief Executive Alan Russell shares the key findings from our recent Improving Our Workplace Survey.
Almost 2,000 colleagues from across the Council and Renfrewshire Health and Social Care Partnership provided their feedback on what it's like to work at Renfrewshire Council by completing the Improving our Workplace Survey, in September, last year.
Thank you for taking the time to share your views.
Overall, the results are generally very positive, however there are a number of areas which have been identified for some further improvement.
Highlights include the support and direction provided by line managers; most respondents are satisfied in their role; and would recommend the Council as a great place to work.
We still have some further work to do in other areas such as supporting your wellbeing at work; making HR policies easier to find and understand; and improving your knowledge of our strategic plans, financial position and decision-making processes.
Survey results and action plan
Our People and Organisational Development colleagues have completed the analysis of the results and have developed an action plan to prioritise and address areas of improvement.
Next steps
Each Director has been provided with a breakdown of their service results and will now consider the actions to take forward before sharing their plans with service colleagues. The service Employee Engagement Forums (Renfrewshire Council website) will support their senior management teams to progress these actions and drive improvements.
The survey key findings and action plan will be discussed with Elected Members at next week's Finance, Resources and Customer Services Policy board. I will keep you updated with progress.
Thank you,
Alan
