Thank you for your hard work in response to Storm Éowyn
Alan Russell recognises Council teams for their efforts to support local people and services throughout the recent severe weather.
It has been an incredibly challenging time for the council and public services across the country coping with the effects of the recent Storm Éowyn. I want to express my sincerest thanks to council colleagues here in Renfrewshire for supporting services throughout.
I am immensely proud of the steps taken to ensure that essential services continue to be delivered and help the people who depend on them. I am very grateful to those colleagues who worked throughout that first weekend to help keep our roads clear and safe and ensure as many of our schools and council buildings could reopen as normal.
Recovery from the severe weather is ongoing as our teams continue to address the storm's impacts and ensure the safety and wellbeing of our local communities.
Thank you once again for your tremendous commitment to each other and to the people we support.
Best wishes,
Alan
