DigiZones (free help and support to get online)
What DigiZones are, what support is available, where to find a DigiZone, and if you cannot access a DigiZone.
What DigiZones are
Our DigiZones provide everyone who lives, learns, works and visits Renfrewshire with free access to:
- digital skills support
- internet
- digital devices such as a laptop, PC or tablet
- signposting to where you can get online.
DigiZones raise awareness of the digital supports available to everyone and will help promote digital and data inclusion in Renfrewshire.
The initiative is funded by Renfrewshire Council and supported by OneRen, Active Communities and Roar: Connections for Life.
What support is available at a DigiZone
We use icons to show what access and support is available at a DigiZone, as some offer different facilities to others.
Icons will be displayed on the DigiZone shopfront or window to show what is available at that location.
You can see these icons and what they mean on the right side of the image and listed below:
- icon 1: internet access
- icon 2: digital support
- icon 3: helpful advice
- icon 4: devices to use.
If a DigiZone has all 4 icons on display then it offers all levels of support.
Some DigiZones may be restricted to particular groups, such as young people, older adults, or customers of the DigiZone.
You can bring your own device to a DigiZone but as some may only offer access to a device or internet, you should check what support the DigiZone offers before you visit.
