Course Outline
Renfrewshire Council's records are essential for the Council to function and for staff to carry out their jobs. This course will provide participants with a general awareness of Records Management. Records provide information for decision making, evidence of the Council's activities and of the rights and responsibilities of the Council and of our citizens. The Public Records (Scotland) Act 2011 places an obligation on the Council to prepare and implement efficient arrangements for the management of the Council's records.

Format
Delivered in-person. It would be helpful for delegates to complete the iLearn course below in advance of the session. The session will include trainer-led discussion and Q & A session delivered by the Council's Records Management Officer. Delegates will be expected to participate in the discussion on the day.
Prerequisites
None, however it would be helpful if delegates completed the Introduction to Records Management iLearn course before attending the Workshop.
