Who won the Provost's Community Awards in 2025?
The recipients of this year's awards were:

- Community Volunteer (sponsored by Glasgow Airport Ltd) - Jean Gallagher
- Employee of the Year (sponsored by UNISON Renfrewshire) - Jodie Pope
- Sport Award (sponsored by Acre Industrial Services Ltd) - OB's Muay Thai
- Provost's Award for Outstanding Achievement - Craig Ferguson

We will invite winning candidates and the people who nominated them to the Provost's Community Awards ceremony at the Glynhill Hotel, Renfrew on Friday 21 March 2025.
What were the categories for 2025?
There were five categories for which nominations were invited:
- Arts & Culture - sponsored by Renfrewshire Council
- This category is open to individuals or groups who have demonstrated their creativity through the common elements of arts and culture for the benefit of the community and not for profit.
- This category is open to individuals or groups who have demonstrated their creativity through the common elements of arts and culture for the benefit of the community and not for profit.
- Community Group - sponsored by City Gate Construction (Scotland) Ltd
- Recognises groups involved in improving their community, e.g. supporting others to make their lives better; involvement in local environmental project; helping establish a community event; contributing to improving community safety, etc.

- Community Volunteer - sponsored by Glasgow Airport Ltd
- Recognises individual contributions to the community and their dedication to the people and organisations who benefit from their selfless endeavour.

- Employers, or colleagues, who wish to nominate employees who have gone above and beyond in their role, perhaps supporting colleagues, or giving exceptional customer service which has made a real difference.

- Sport Award - sponsored by Acre Industrial Services
- This award recognises individuals or groups who have achieved success in competition as a competitor or a coach, or have used sport and exercise as a tool for health and wellbeing.
Terms and Conditions
- Our judging panel look at all the nominations and come to a decision once the deadline has passed.
- The panel is made up the Provost, the award sponsors and small number of councillors from across the political parties.
- Someone can be nominated again even if they've been nominated in a previous year.
- You can nominate a relative for an award
- Winners will be required to take part in publicity of the awards.
