The creation of the action plan

The Paisley Town Centre Action Plan 2016- 2026 was approved at the Leadership Board in December 2016 following a series of workshops and consultation with the community and key partners. 

Focus of the consultation

The consultation focused on the creation of:

• an international culture and heritage destination
• a smart business place
• a centre for education and innovation
• a livable, attractive and green place
• resilient, strong partnerships

Key areas of activity

The Paisley Town Centre Action Plan [1MB] identifies key activity areas to guide short, medium and long term actions. 

The areas are:

• Gilmour Street Gateway
• Paisley West End
• High Street and the University Campus
• Abbey and River Precinct
• Improving Connections

The next steps are to draw up master plans for individual projects within the action plan.
