Renfrewshire Council

Renfrewshire Fair Trade Steering Group

In November 2007, Renfrewshire Council agreed its vision of Renfrewshire becoming a Fairtrade Zone

A steering group was set-up to increase awareness of the Fair Trade campaign across Renfrewshire and work towards Fairtrade Zone status, which was achieved in February 2009.

The group aims to meet every two to three months to discuss how best to advance fair trade in Renfrewshire and to support the members of the group effectively to achieve this aim.

There are local fair trade groups in Lochwinnoch, Bridge of Weir, Houston, Kilbarchan and Bishopton as well as committed fair trade businesses such as Rainbow Turtle and Just Trading Scotland in Paisley.

All are welcome to be a part of the group to help advance fair trade in Renfrewshire.
