How to apply for a place at another school in Renfrewshire by making a placing request.
You can ask for your child to go to a school other than your local school. This is called a placing request.
If you're applying for a Primary 1 (P1) place, you'll need to register your child at their local school first before you can apply for a place at a school outside their catchment area.
If your child is already at school and you want to apply for a place at another primary, secondary, or additional support needs (ASN) school in Renfrewshire, you should make a placing request for another school.

The way we deal with placing requests is governed by legislation. If you make a placing request and are not satisfied that your request was dealt with fairly, you can make an appeal. Find out more information about making an appeal.
