On Sunday 16 December 2018 between 4.30am and 6.30am we cannot accept debit or credit card payments due to essential system downtime. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

How to pay your service charge

If you have a service charge to pay, we will give you a yellow swipe card to pay it.

Please do not use this card to pay your rent.

We will send you a statement  showing the payments you have made to your service charge account, on request.

You can pay your service charge in the following ways:

  • by direct debit/standing order: call 0300 300 0222 selecting option 1 and we can set this up for you
  • make an online rent payment (from 26 October 2016, this service is moving to MyAccount, your new free digital customer service)
  • by debit/credit card: just phone 0300 300 0222 (and select option 1) or 0845 602 0355 (24 hours a day, please note that mobile phone providers may charge a fee for these calls).
  • use your swipe card at PayPoint facilities throughout Renfrewshire, for example, at cash collection points in your local corner store
  • at our Johnstone or Renfrew Neighbourhood Services
  • at the cash collection desk in the Customer Service Centre, Renfrewshire House
  • at your local post office
  • by post make your cheque payable to Renfrewshire Council.


You can pay your rent by direct debit or standing order by printing off either a Direct Debit mandate for service charge form or a Standing Order for service charge form and following the instructions:
