Residents of Renfrewshire may use Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRC's) free of charge for all acceptable waste types if they bring their waste to the centre in a domestic car, 4x4 or people carrier.

When visiting our sites residents should have some form of proof that they are a resident of Renfrewshire.  This can be in the form of a driving licence, council tax bill or recent utility bill (less than 3 months old).  Staff are asked to do a number of checks to ensure we are complying with our site licence.

Householders who use a commercial type vehicle such as a van, pickup or a trailer under 1.8m (6ft) will always have to show proof of residency.
