Latest update on return to school and nursery: a message from Steven Quinn 23 July 2020

The following is a message to parents and carers from Steven Quinn, Director of Children's Services. It is dated 23 July 2020 and provides an update on the latest information on Scottish Government's plans to reopen schools and nurseries.

Dear Parent/Carer,

We welcome the further update from the Deputy First Minister today which allows us to continue with preparations for a full time return for our schools and nurseries in August, in line with government and public health guidance.

A final decision on pupils returning, along with the detailed guidance to support this, will be made available on the Thursday 30 July.

We understand that many parents will be keen to know the exact details of the return and as such we will endeavour to get further information to you as soon as possible after this date.

Thank you for your continued patience and support. To keep up to date, follow us on Facebook @renfrewshirecouncil, on Twitter@RenCouncil, sign up to our Schools and Nurseries digital newsletter, or visit our schools and nurseries page on the Coronavirus section of our website.

Yours sincerely
