Renfrewshire Council

Leader's blog: Thank you for taking part in the 'Our Renfrewshire' survey, your views will shape our future

I would like to thank everyone who got involved in the 'Our Renfrewshire' community survey and had their say.

More than 4,000 of you took part in the survey and our community and staff engagement sessions, which closed on Friday 7 June, telling us what matters to you and what you value.

As a council we deliver lots of important public services including waste and recycling collections, maintenance for local roads, schools and homes, as well as the provision of local education services and care for the most vulnerable.

The survey was designed to start a conversation about what matters to you, what you value and what behaviours you expect from the council. I am delighted so many people who live, work and study in Renfrewshire took part and told us their views.

I would also like to thank Engage Renfrewshire for arranging our Community Conversation sessions for community groups, which were led by organisations including ROAR, The STAR Project, DigiRen, Renfrewshire Access Panel and Renfrewshire Affordable Credit Alliance.

Your opinions are very important to us. What you've told us by taking part in the survey and engagement sessions will transform the way the council works, providing a new set of values that will be the foundation of our organisation and shape how we communicate and work with you in future.

We are currently gathering feedback from the survey and engagement sessions and will provide you with an update on the results at the end of the summer.

Once again, thank you for taking part in the survey.
