What the Renfrewshire Licensing Forum is

We are required under Section 10 of the Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005 to establish a local licensing forum.

The Renfrewshire Licensing Forum keeps under review the liquor licensing system and the work of our Licensing Board in the area.

The forum can also give advice and make recommendations to the Licensing Board.

Members of the forum

The Renfrewshire Licensing Forum has 12 members consisting of:

  • One Licensing Standards Officer
  • One Police Scotland representative
  • Three licensed trade representatives
  • Two Health Board representatives (including Alcohol & Drug Partnership)
  • One Children's Services representative
  • Three local resident representatives
  • One young person representative (aged 16-25).

Members of the forum meet four times a year.

What membership roles are available

We currently have five vacancies available to join the forum in the following membership roles:

  • Three Licensed Trade representatives
  • One young person representative (aged 16-25)
  • One local resident representative.

These are voluntary roles that give premises and residents the opportunity to help shape licensing decisions in the area.

How to apply for a membership role
