Equally Safe in Renfrewshire: Renfrewshire's no to Gender Based Violence Strategy 2018-2021

The impact of Gender Based Violence, which includes domestic abuse, rape, sexual assault, sexual exploitation, childhood sexual abuse, and so called "honour based violence" such as forced marriage and female genital mutilation has an immediate and long lasting impact on the women and children in Renfrewshire who experience it.

This Gender Based Violence Strategy has been developed by the Renfrewshire Gender Based Violence Strategy Group.  It outlines how Renfrewshire Council, Renfrewshire Health and Social Care Partnership, Police Scotland, Women's Aid and other third sector organisations will work together to ensure that Renfrewshire is a place where gender based violence isn't tolerated and where victims, perpetrators and communities are supported to address its causes and consequences.
