Here's the rundown on events in support of Talk Money Week.

With Christmas looming and the urge to splurge the cash increases, here's some much-needed events that can help you or those you look after to make the right financial decisions.


Health Networking Breakfast

Financial Harm Clinic

Learn about frauds, scams and financial harm. Find out how to identify the signs of financial harm and where to report your concerns. Meet with representatives from Police Scotland and Adult Support and Protection team.

Money and Mental Health Working Lunch

Money Advice Scotland "train the trainer"

Held for the first time in Engage Renfrewshire offices, a half-day training session aimed at support staff who help people that often experience money worries.

The course will help support staff develop new skills with a view to improving their clients' financial resilience and wellbeing. It covers ways to talk to clients about money and develop strategies.

All week

We will be running a social media campaign in support of Talk Money Week on the Council's social platforms.

This year, we are focusing on Universal Credit as it went live in Renfrewshire from mid-September.
