Business e-newsletter

A warm welcome to the first edition of our dedicated monthly business news e-alerts, bringing you a round-up of the latest business developments across Renfrewshire.

Renfrewshire is open for business, regeneration is gathering pace, there are thousands more jobs and we are developing a reputation as a place of enterprise, creativity and drive.

I fully appreciate that the council has a key role to play in creating the conditions in which the local economy can grow and in helping local people find and keep work.

That's why we've committed long-term funding to target job support to the people and places most in need, with further focus on supporting start-up and early stage businesses.

We are ambitious for Renfrewshire and are working hard to maximise the major growth opportunities for the area. In speaking to business owners across the region I know that they too are ambitious for the local area and by working together we can and will enable Renfrewshire to thrive.

Business news

In this edition you'll find details of a new bridge connecting communities to a major investment area next to the airport.

There's a call to action for Paisley businesses to complete our survey as we develop plans to bring new footfall and life to the town centre and there's plenty dates for the diary too, with workshops supporting start-ups and helping local businesses to bolster their digital skills.

In future editions we'll be celebrating the companies making a difference to the local economy, focusing on our major growth areas and sharing top tips from experts.

If you like this, then sign up for our other email bulletins, including a weekly What's On guide and an update on Paisley Town Centre improvements and initiatives.
