Paisley Beer Festival

One of Scotland's biggest and best beer festivals is coming back to Paisley

This year marks the 31st Paisley Beer Festival, organised and run by the Renfrewshire branch of CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale).

This event is always a popular one in Renfrewshire and I am pleased to see it returning in 2018.

The festival will bring over 250 beers from breweries in Scotland and the rest of the UK to Paisley.

There will also be a foreign beer bar hosting beers from right across the globe, along with a real cider bar and a wine bar - there really is something for everyone!

Renfrewshire CAMRA is one of over 200 local branches of the Campaign for Real Ale and has over 400 members!

As well as hosting the annual Paisley Beer Festival, they also survey local pubs for inclusion in the annual CAMRA Good Beer Guide, and promote pubs selling real ale made locally.

The festival opens on Wednesday 25 and is running through to Saturday 28 in Paisley Town Hall.

The queue is always out the door, so be sure to get there early for entry and grab your commemorative Paisley Beer Festival glass.

We also have the Paisley Food and Drink Festival running on Friday 27 and Saturday 28, featuring a huge line up of Scotland's best traders, interactive workshops and live entertainment from local bands and crowd favourite, Mr Bloom.

I'll be there to open the festival on Saturday and can't wait to see what culinary treats are on offer this year - I've got my fingers crossed that I might even get to meet Mr Bloom!

With both festivals taking place, Paisley is definitely the place to be this April!
