Changes to bin collections (31/12)

Missed collections - Renfrew, Erskine, Paisley, Houston (updated: Sunday 31 December 9pm)

Due to the very challenging weather conditions over the past few days, we have had to make a few changes to scheduled bin collections.

Collections planned for today (Sun 31 Dec) were hampered by the high winds and our teams weren't able to get to them all.

Those affected include residents in parts of Renfrew ad Erskine whose normal Monday bin collection this year fell on New Year's Day and who had been asked to put their bins out today instead. These bins will now be collected on Tuesday 2 January.

There were also a number of streets in Paisley and Houston who were due to have their bins collected today, which our teams didn't manage to get round.

They are: Kingslea Road, Bogstonhill Road, South Street and Four Wyndings (Houston), and Turners Avenue, Cromptons Grove, Arkwright Way and Stable Grove (Paisley). These will also be collected on Tuesday 2 January.

All other collections scheduled for Tuesday 2 January are due to take place as normal.

Brown bins and food waste (updated Friday 29 December)

Due to we will be postponing food waste collections until Wednesday (03/01) when normal collections will resume.

Therefore, brown bins and food waste bins due to be collected today (Friday), Saturday, Sunday and Tuesday will now not be collected until the next scheduled collection day for that bin.  The contents of many brown bins have frozen and despite repeated attempts the contents are not emptying.

The following shows the collection schedules for the forthcoming days:

Tuesday 2 January 2018

Normal services resume for both residual (grey) and recyclate (blue) bin collections

Co-mingled food and garden and food only services remain temporarily suspended and will be collected on next scheduled collection
day for that bin.

Wednesday 3rd January - collections return to normal for all bins.

We will continue to update via this website and social media should there be any further changes to collections.
