Halloween

Get set for a Frightening Friday and Spooky Saturday!

It's less than two weeks to go until the spook-tacular Halloween Festival returns to Paisley.

The event has become a firm favourite with families across Renfrewshire and this year has an even bigger and better programme than before.

Taking place across Friday and Saturday, there's something for everyone as a variety of workshops, activities and films take place - not forgetting the fantastic parade through the town centre.

Friday will see ghosts, ghouls and goblins, along with many other imaginative costumes I'm sure, descend on Paisley Town Hall to take part in the Halloween Ball.

There's still tickets left so pick your costume, pick your friends to come with and pick up your ticket!

If that's not up your street then Friday also offers a murder mystery evening, film screening and family fright night at Paisley Museum, so there's something for everyone.

If that wasn't scary enough for you, there's a full programme of activities on Saturday too.

There's ten hours of family activities at Paisley Town Hall including face painting, soft play, art and crafts and a kid's disco, while Paisley Abbey will host pumpkin carving and ghost stories throughout the day.

And rounding off the day will be many people's favourite, the Halloween Parade, which is followed by the red-hot Fire Garden and Fire Stage.

A Winged Fire Monster on a Paisley Chariot led by Flame Oz, plus the Spark! LED Drummers, Mr Wilson's Second Liners Band and large dancing skeletons will make this a parade not to be missed!

The spectacular Fire Garden will round off the weekend as Abbey Close is illuminated by a variety of installations, soundscapes and projections which I can't wait to see.

It's set to be a terrific weekend and I hope you all have a spook-tacular Halloween!
