Renfrewshire Council

The Paisley Town Centre Action Plan 2016- 2026 was approved at the Leadership Board in December 2016 following a series of workshops and consultation with the community and key partners.  The consultation focused on the creation of:

• An international culture and heritage destination

• A smart business place

• A centre for education and innovation

• A liveable, attractive and green place

• Resilient, strong partnerships

The Action Plan identifies key activity areas to guide short, medium and long term actions.  The areas are:

1. Gilmour Street Gateway

2. Paisley West End

3. High Street and the University Campus

4. Abbey and River Precinct

5. Improving Connections

Next steps are to draw up master plans for individual projects within the Action Plan in early 2017.
