Lapwing Lodge Outdoor Centre

Lapwing Lodge started out life as a sanatorium for the Coats Thread Mill workers in 1910 until 1955.

In 1960, Paisley Scout Groups began using the building and site for camping before purchasing the site in 1988 and making improvements to the deteriorated Victorian building.

Lapwing Lodge continues to be used for Scout Camps and other youth organisations but it also caters for individuals, businesses and educational use.

Facilities at the outdoor centre include a climbing wall, archery, kayaking, cycling, high ropes and an army-style assault course and the centre is ideal for corporate and team-building events and family fun.
