Renfrewshire Council

Housing associations

 What are housing associations?

Housing associations build new homes and improve existing, often older homes to rent to people who need housing. They are not property companies or commercial organisations and they do not make a profit. Housing associations work closely with the council to offer properties to local people. For example, the council can nominate people who have applied for council housing for housing association properties.

A list of all housing associations operating within Renfrewshire can be found below. If you would like some advice about a housing issue, you may also find it useful to contact your local neighbourhood office for more information or advice about housing associations.
