Switching gas and electricity supplier

Switching energy provider is one of the easiest ways to save on the cost of fuel - but it's also one that many people avoid.

Sometimes this is down to fear of change but switching supplier is a simple and beneficial thing to do.

There will be no interruption in your gas or electric supply if you do switch.  You'll need to:

  • Identify your new supplier and contact them.
  • Inform your current supplier of your intention.
  • After 28 days provide your old and new suppliers with meter readings.

To identify a new supplier with a better tariff for you, start your search with the energy regulator Ofgem.
