focuses on improving your digital knowledge and skills of Microsoft packages. With more staff working from home and frontline staff accessing systems and connecting with colleagues, there has been an increase in demand for resources to help you work smarter. Whether you are a beginner or a little more advanced, this guide will support you to build your skills in using Microsoft packages including Word, Excel, Outlook, OneNote, PowerPoint, Skype and Teams.Visit Looking after your health and wellbeing for more support.

iLearn - an online learning platform
Log on
Your username is your 7-digit employee number, which you can find on your payslip.
Your default password is your surname in capital letters (including any apostrophes or hyphens in your name). You will be prompted to change this on your first login.
If you have already changed your password but can't log in, click on the Forgotten your Password? link to request a password reset.
Forgot your password?
If you've forgotten your password, select the Forgotten password link on the login screen to reset it.
Pop-up blocker
Your pop-up blocker must be turned off to access courses. To do this, Select the Tools menu, point to Pop-up Blocker, and select Turn off Pop-up Blocker.
Next and other navigation buttons do not display
If you've opened a course but can't see the navigation buttons to move onto the next screen, it's likely that your browser window is zoomed in more than 100% (making the navigation buttons drop below the bottom of the window).

Internet Explorer To change this:
- Open Internet Explorer
- Select the Page menu on the right hand side of the screen (or the cog symbol, if the page menu isn't available)
- Select Zoom from the dropdown menu that appears.
- Select 100% to make sure the screen isn't zoomed in or out.
Microsoft Office courses do not move to the next screen
These courses need compatibility view turned on in Internet Explorer.
To do this:
- Log into iLearn, but don't open any courses.
- Select the Tools menu in the top right hand corner of your screen (this will either be the word Tools or a cog symbol).
- Select the Compatibility View settings option. The iLearn website brightwave.co.uk will automatically appear in the website box.
- Select Add, then select Close.
